to be sane is insanity

“To the delirious eye, more lovely things of Paradise and Love-and all our own. Than young Hope in his sunniest hour hath known”-Edgar Allan Poe

Law School

They teach you all these things, how to be great and achieve your goals but they never tell you what to do when you fail, when you’re finding a hard time to get There. You learn these things for yourself.

Welcome to Law School. Most paper I’ve ever seen  (and read) in my whole 22 years of existence. Hard work. Sleepless night days! Hard core memory work. Tiring. Frustrating. Exhausting. And sometimes I just want to close my eyes and wish it were easy.

This is my present reality. (Pardon me while I burst)

HOWEVER, this is something I love. And something that you learn for yourself, to push yourself because you know you can do better.

And just like everything, I’ve sacrificed time and sleep and many of the things that matter but hopefully for something greater.

Law School has taught me a thing or two.

I have a block that I LOVE! (something I didn’t fully appreciate back in College haha)
Value of hard work.
And value of self.

And yes, it is a freakin’ marathon, a 5 year marathon.
It’s something you have to keep up with or be at losing end.
But it’s good to know that there are people running beside you because they know you need a little push and a little encouragement. Never ever underestimate the value of a little pep talk or a good word.

And yes, I love this life with all its difficulty, stupidity, and insanity.

Marga! I’m prepping up for Law School as well (after I finish this darned board exam). Wish me luck! LOL.

Oh, and God bless you with your studies. I don’t think you need it but what the heck, eh? :D

Wow! Mag-la-law ka? Ang galing!

I also plan to take up law, that is why I am taking up Accounting right now.

Grabe! Mahirap ba talaga mag-law?

I will continue to study law the moment I get over all of its moral inadequacies. The moment I decide to continue, I will just keep to the letter and become impartial. Though human law seeks to destroy the value of positive idealism, there will be an appropriate time when such valuable and moral changes will be made. And when that time comes, the Philippines will be a pioneer of good governance. And for this reason, I will keep to the Philippine Preamble. Just keep studying. You will get there in time, Marga.

Goodluck!

So you wanna be lawyer, huh.. You think it is a profitable profession? Prepare for the worst girl coz by the time you become a lawyer you might think of nursing as the easy ticket for abroad and earn dollars. hehehehe…. I know personally lots of my companero and companera who are nurses now how demeaning isnt it? But in law school we are taught lawyering as a noble profession, how will you pursue nobility with an empty stomach…

I understand the fact that there’s a lot riding on your legal studies. Keep studying, Marga. Don’t worry about it. I waited this long. What’s wrong with waiting for several years more? :)

Like is said before, I’m going to turn the Philippines into the Saint Capital of the World. How well do you believe me now? Naturally, good governance will follow. Just look at the latest legal proposals. The rights of the baby and the moral renewal that every government official should undertake. Talk about being the president without even going through the strict and expensive process of candidacy and election. Hey! I’m only twenty-eight! Haha! Well, “anywhat”, it takes a while to write a really cool history for the whole world to remember. :)
